ROMANES Media Group is seeking a news editor to assist in leading our talented reporting team based in Alloa.
The successful candidate will be jointly responsible with the regional editor for the content, production and presentation both in print and online, of the Alloa Advertiser, Stirling News and Strathallan Times.
As well as planning and editing the latter two publications, you will be expected to source and write off-diary articles for each and maintain the excellent relationship both papers enjoy with their local communities.
This challenging position requires an accomplished all-rounder, with skills including a highly developed news sense, proven ability in handling pages and sub-editing, the drive to set the local news agenda and the people skills necessary to help motivate and manage a talented reporting team.
Responding to the rapidly-changing media landscape, the successful candidate will be expected to build on the many strengths of our titles and drive the changes demanded of our readers and advertisers in this multi-media age.
