THE University of Glasgow is appointing an internal communications officer to support the task of bringing news and information to more than 6,000 staff and 23,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Working with the internal communications manager, you will be producing content for internal web pages and for a fortnightly staff newsletter. We use a wide range of channels including social media. You will be involved in organising staff events and gathering news on campus and gathering staff feedback.
The job requires excellent communications skills, basic journalism skills and experience of writing for the web and creating web content.
The internal communications officer will liaise with other members of the communications office and with contacts across the university’s colleges, schools, research institutes and university services.
