WE are looking for a creative individual to support the Media Scotland social media strategy, helping to actively promote Media Scotland’s initiatives and engage online communities to create brand loyalty.
Duties include:
* Reviewing website and mobile site user comments and enforce community moderation polices
* Taking action on inappropriate actions, such as abusive commenting and attempted deleting
* Reviewing and moderating comments on social networking sites such as Facebook and Google+
* Using social media to promote Media Scotland’s editorial and marketing initiatives
* Generating lively discussions and interacting with readers
* Producing reports on comments and social media statistics, and
* Dealing with user-generated content such as pictures and videos
Candidates must be able to work days, evenings and weekends as and when required
You will have the following skills:
* Proven writing, editing and communication skills
* Sound knowledge of Scottish legal system and digital legal issues
* Excellent knowledge of Scottish issues and Scottish sport, particularly football
* Demonstrated knowledge of social media including Facebook, Twitter and Google+
* Good technical skills and ability to learn new systems and digital tools quickly, and
* Ability to work calmly under pressure
