THIS post offers the opportunity to join a fast-improving media team which is securing coverage in TV, radio, magazines, websites, and newspapers. The successful candidate will have the chance to shine by identifying a rich variety of potential stories in documents, meetings and chance encounters in the corridor. The Church is an important part of Scottish life offering scope for coverage of national and international importance.
As a communications professional you will help raise the profile of the Church by maximising positive publicity while managing all other media matters.
To succeed, you will have a proven track record as a journalist or press officer with well-developed personal and communication skills. A knowledge and understanding of current affairs and Scottish and UK media is essential along with an organised and flexible approach to work.
