ITV News Border is in an exciting expansion phase and is launching a new service of current affairs and political programmes for ITV Border Scotland.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced researcher to join our team.
As our researcher your main role will be to generate great ideas and help develop strong editorial content working across all programming platforms. You will support the production team by using your thorough research skills to ensure that facts and figures are interesting and accurate. You will also generate contacts and sources, as well as selecting and interviewing possible contributors.
To be successful in this role you must be resourceful, factually accurate and knowledgeable about research sources – we’re looking for more than a Google search! A proven track record of journalism is essential as well as a passion for news, Scottish life and politics. Broadcast experience is not essential but would be a distinct advantage.
Please note that this role could be considered as a part-time or job share opportunity.
