NORTH Ayrshire Council is looking for a creative, confident and experienced marketing officer to support our ambitious Economic Development and Regeneration strategy for growth and investment.
Working in a busy Communications Team, you will be able to manage and deliver the Marketing North Ayrshire plan to promote North Ayrshire as a destination of choice for business, visitors and residents.
What is the role?
Responsible for the operational delivery of the ‘Marketing North Ayrshire’ Plan in support of the Economic Development and Regeneration Strategy 2010-2020.
What will you do?
Provide a professional marketing service to support the delivery of the Economic Development and Regeneration Strategy 2010-2020 by:
* Bringing greater consistency to the promotion of North Ayrshire;
* Improving stakeholder’s perceptions of the area;
* Helping raise the ambitions and aspirations of the area and its people; and
* Re-positioning North Ayrshire as a destination of choice for businesses, residents and visitors.
What do you need to bring to the role?
Degree and/or professional qualification in an appropriate communications discipline. Higher Grade English or equivalent. Excellent writing skills. Experience of working in a busy communcations environment. Experience in marketing and/or public relations. Experience of working to tight deadlines. Managing and delivering a portfolio of work/projects simultaneously. Developing, planning and delivering new marketing/communications plans/projects/initiatives on time and to budget. Experience of online communications, writing for the web, social media and digital engagement.
