THE Scottish Sun is recruiting a reporter to join its top news team. We are looking for someone with a proven track record in generating agenda-setting stories, consistently providing a high standard of copy, and regularly contributing ideas across both print and digital platforms.
What we’re looking for from you:
The ideal candidate must be able to write to a high standard in a Scottish Sun style, work independently when required, have the ability to generate/develop contacts and have the enthusiasm and drive to make an impact at the country’s best-selling title.
An enthusiastic and flexible attitude is essential, as is the ability to adapt to changing priorities and be able to work effectively and calmly under pressure. A strong knowledge of the Editors’ Code and relevant legislation is a must, as is an understanding of the Scottish courts system and the political landscape.
Experience in writing across different platforms – print and digital – is preferable, as is the ability to use shorthand.
