DC Thomson Media is looking for a sub-editor to join their team which is based in Dundee.
This position is ideal for a sub-editor who is looking to build a career and develop their future in the print and digital world.
This exciting role will involve working across the This England, Evergreen and The People’s Friend portfolio of titles, overseeing all aspects of production – sub-editing content, creating compelling display lines, liaising with other departments and having a thorough working knowledge of the titles’ publishing systems.
You will work to agreed production schedules and proofread and amend fiction and features to ensure the highest quality content.
Requirements:
* The successful candidate will hold a relevant degree or equivalent, with an awareness of copyright law and a thorough understanding of grammar and punctuation.
* You will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, an ability to work under pressure and to cope with a heavy workload, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
