THE Scotland Malawi Partnership (SMP) is the national civil society network, co-ordinating, representing and supporting the many people-to-people links between our two nations.
We represent a community of 109,000 people in Scotland with active links to Malawi.
An exciting temporary opportunity has arisen with the SMP to deliver on our communications needs and direct an essential leading voice in the Scottish international development sector.
The post-holder will help to deliver high quality communications in support of key events as well as responding to and communicating with the SMP’s membership and other target audiences.
The role requires a highly motivated, energetic, quick, adaptable and productive individual who has the experience and ability to work for a fast-paced organisation with a degree of autonomy where necessary, who is resourceful and keen to contribute to the life and work of a busy team that is both strategic and opportunistically responsive to its members’ needs.
The post is fixed term maternity cover of up to 12 months duration.
We have some flexibility with the post and may explore the possibility, if of interest with the post-holder, of having this as a part-time post (80 per cent).
