THIS is an excellent opportunity for an experienced communications professional to join an award-winning communications team.
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is the largest single health authority in the UK and as such you can expect to manage a wide range of complex issues.
Your key responsibilities will include effective media relations, and so a strong working relationship with the Scottish media and how to influence it, is essential.
You will also have the opportunity to deliver the breadth of communications activities within corporate communications, including social marketing campaigns, development of web and other digital content and content creation for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s various award-winning staff and external publications.
You will be a confident and motivated individual with a degree in journalism, PR or media communications.
Essential to the post is substantial current experience as a journalist or in a media/communications/PR role.
Strong communications and writing skills are also a must. Knowledge of the NHS or the public sector would be an desirable. The post also involves out-of-hours media cover in an one-in-three rotational basis.
