AN opportunity for a senior reporter has arisen to join The Courier, working from the paper’s busy Perth office.
Working as part of a close-knit, talented and news-hungry group of reporters, you will contribute high-quality copy, pictures, videos and podcasts for The Courier’s print and digital editions daily, from breaking news to off-diary exclusives.
Perth and Kinross is a busy news patch and no two days are the same. It is an exciting time for the region, from multi-million pound investment in the Tay Cities Deal, to cultural events such as the popular Rewind Festival and Perth Festival of the Arts.
The contrast between the city of Perth and its picturesque rural surroundings makes for a diverse range of stories and applicants must be comfortable anywhere, from a busy sheriff court to the remote villages of Highland Perthshire.
Working from the office in Perth city centre allows reporters to build strong contacts and get to the heart of a community eager to enjoy the best of local news.
Key requirement of this role include:
* Full driving licence
* Shorthand (ideally at 100/wpm)
