CLOSING DATE: December 14, 2018
Dundee, Meadowside
VAC637
THE Courier is on the look-out for a new digital/print reporter for its busy Perth office.
The city is a great place to be a newspaper reporter — not least when that newspaper boasts an increased readership of 14 per cent, year-on-year.
The Courier is read by more than 150,000 people every day and produces a website which attracts almost one million people a month.
Now we need a senior reporter to help us ensure our customers get the best stories, the finest analysis and the most up-to-date news for their area, both online and in print. Working as part of a close-knit team and taking direction from the newsdesk, you will work accurately and creatively to tight deadlines.
We don’t want you to be chained to your desk — even though you will be based in a lovely office— so you will be out and about bringing your stories to life.
You will also be self-motivated and driven to source exclusive stories of a high standard. You will also be expected to use social media to promote our content and source stories.
Key requirements are:
* a full driving licence;
* up-to-date knowledge of newspaper law and IPSO guidelines; and
* outstanding written English and communication skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to work to strict deadlines are also essential.
To apply for this role, please follow our online application process and submit a CV and cover letter.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working 35 hours per week from our Meadowside office.
We offer a generous package including 34 days holiday, health cash plan, on-site staff gym, excellent pension, a competitive salary, and many more staff discounts and benefits.
