THE Evening Express is looking for a content editor to join its team in Aberdeen.
Reporting to the head of news, the successful candidate will be an experienced reporter looking to make the next step or someone who is already working on a news desk.
The content editor is responsible for leading the reporting team, ensuring they dig out the best exclusives, produce must-read interviews, compelling videos and maintains the Evening Express’ position as being first with the news that matters most to the people of Aberdeen and the north-east of Scotland.
They will also be involved in nurturing trainees and have bags of ideas and enthusiasm to help bring the best out of our teams across print and digital platforms.
Person specification:
- A senior reporter or currently working on a news desk
- Good ideas and organisational skills
- Examples of leading a team
- Experience in both print and digital media
