THE Press and Journal seeks four energetic and talented journalists to maintain our position as Scotland’s best-selling quality newspaper and the biggest regional daily paper in the UK.
REPORTERS
As a key member of our news website, the digital journalist will be at the cutting edge of our online and social media coverage – building on our growing audience and client base.
Working in our Aberdeen office, you will be first with breaking news and dedicated to keeping our online site buzzing with useful information which entertains and engages our followers. You will also work closely with commercial colleagues from time to time to support their work with client companies, providing content that would interest readers.
Our online teams work closely with our news and picture desks, so that our print and online content complement each other.
This job demands a livewire attitude to news and the demands of social media. Newsroom experience is preferable.
We are also seeking news reporters for our Elgin and Peterhead offices.
They play a vital role in our district coverage – The Press and Journal produces six distinct editions every day.
The successful candidates will have relevant newsroom experience, a record of building excellent contacts and the ability to break exclusive stories.
Our temporary post is at our Inverness office and will run for a period of up to 12 months.
We are seeking a good all-round news reporter with the ability to tackle anything and break excellent off-diary stories. Newsroom experience is preferred.
