THE Press and Journal and Evening Express are looking for a talented senior journalist to help lead our newspaper teams in Aberdeen.
We are seeking someone with managerial motivation and skill in the shape of our new assistant editor to work with our senior teams to drive the development of our two main titles and associated brands.
The successful individual will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the Press and Journal, the UK’s best-selling regional newspaper, supporting the Evening Express management team and wider Aberdeen business as required.
With an industry recognised qualification, you must have proven editorial experience at a senior level and have a detailed knowledge of IPSO guidelines, the Editors’ Code of Practice and other relevant legislation.
You will also have a strong print and digital background, working knowledge of content management systems, web analytics tools (Chartbeat, Google Analytics), social media marketing applications (HootSuite, Tweetdeck, etc.) and leading social media monitoring platforms.
