Full-time
THIS is an exciting time to join Scottish War Blinded, as the charity is expanding its services and opening a new centre for veterans with sight loss in Paisley later this year.
The marketing and PR assistant will join us at a crucial time in the lead up to the opening, assisting with marketing campaigns to recruit new members in the West of Scotland and to launch the centre.
This is a varied role, with duties ranging from arranging exhibitions, events and our presence at Armed Forces days, to writing for a wide range of audiences across both offline and online communication channels.
We are seeking a talented writer with the ability to interview Scottish War Blinded members to share their stories.
This post would ideally suit individuals with qualifications in either journalism, marketing or PR with a minimum of one year’s work experience who are interested in a career in the charity sector.
A driving license and ability to travel across Scotland, including some out-of-hours work, is essential.
The post is subject to a Police Act Disclosure.
