Role: communications and customer engagement manager
Salary: grade 9: £37,138 to £41,264 dependent upon skills and relevant experience
Hours: 35 hours per week
Location: Based in the Leith area of Edinburgh
FOR the past 40 years, Port of Leith HA has been actively providing high quality affordable housing and promoting the ongoing regeneration of Leith and neighbouring communities in North Edinburgh.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to a skilled communications professional to develop the Association’s communications and customer engagement functions.
After five years of being supported by external PR and communications consultants, the Association has decided to bring these functions in-house for the first time.
We need a professional individual who will relish the challenge of building these important functions within the business to new levels of effectiveness.
We need someone with a ‘can do’ mentality who enjoys delivering hands on work themselves and has the ability to line manage and support other people.
You will need to be able to balance using your skills to carry out work yourself while giving support to others to empower them to take on elements of communication and customer engagement activities themselves.
You will need the ability to deliver on time and to agreed specifications without the need for ongoing input from more senior management.
The role will require you to deal with people from all parts of the organisation effectively and is likely to need you to use well-honed influence and persuasion skills.
The Association’s chief executive will be a key customer for support services from the role holder to enable him to handle press and media engagement when required.
