THE Herald & Times Group is looking for a political editor to spearhead coverage of politics in Scotland.
The group, part of Newsquest Scotland, publishes The Herald, Sunday Herald, Evening Times, The National and their associated web sites and social media.
The political editor generates exclusive coverage and provides expert analysis and interpretation of the Scottish political scene and the impact of wider political and economic developments on the country.
This challenging role demands an in-depth knowledge of Scottish current affairs and ideally good contacts at all levels and in all political parties. Strong writing ability and an appetite for digital output and social media is a must.
The successful applicant will also be expected to represent the group on television and other media, from time to time.
