THE Evening Express is on the hunt for a talented trainee reporter to join its sports team.

In recent seasons, our sports reporters have covered Aberdeen FC’s challenge at the top of the Scottish Premiership and the team’s travels across Europe.
At a local level, they’ve captured the drama of the Highland League and grassroots football as well as reporting on a range of other sports.
And this summer a host of North-east athletes will be competing on the world’s greatest stage – the Olympic Games in Rio.
We are looking for someone who holds an NCTJ or equivalent qualification, shorthand and a full driving licence to work across our print and digital platforms. The ideal candidate should be a rising star who possesses a talent for contact building, colour writing and breaking exclusives.
