Ref: VAC223
THE Evening Express is looking for a senior reporter to help ensure its readers get the best stories, the finest analysis and the most up-to-date news for their area across our digital and print platforms.
Working as a close-knit team and taking direction from the newsdesk, you will work accurately and creatively to tight deadlines.

You will be self-motivated and driven to source exclusive stories of a high standard.
You will also be expected to use social media to promote our content and source stories.
The North-east of Scotland is an exciting place to be right now.
Work is under way to shape Aberdeen city centre for the next 20 years. A £333 million scheme to create a 12,500-capacity concert venue, two hotels and an energy centre has been approved.
A City Region Deal from the UK and Scottish Governments will pump more than £250m into the North-east economy.
There is also a lively council – and equally lively sheriff court – all of which makes a great place to be a newspaper reporter!
Key requirements are:
* A full driving licence;
* Up-to-date knowledge of newspaper law and IPSO regulations;
* Outstanding written English and communication skills;
* Shorthand 100wpm; and
* Attention to detail and the ability to work to strict deadlines
