Communications officer (three days, pro rata)
Salary grade B2 (£27,755 – £31,340 p.a.)
WE are seeking to appoint an experienced communications officer to join a team providing media and corporate communications support to the commissioner and her staff. This is a permanent appointment, working three days a week.
Reporting to the head of communications, the communications officer will assist in the planning and delivery of the communications strategy, both internally and externally.
You must be able to research and write concise statements and news releases to regular deadlines, and have hands-on experience in handling media enquiries on high profile and sensitive matters.
The successful candidate will also drive forward our use of the web and social media to increase understanding of the commissioner’s role amongst the public and key stakeholder groups.
This appointment is based in Hamilton and the successful candidate must undergo vetting and security clearance to Security Check (SC) level prior to appointment.
