THE University of Glasgow recently acquired the adjacent Western Infirmary site in the city.
Over the next few years, the university will transform its campus as part of a £775 million development plan – the single largest estates project in its history since the move from the city centre in the 1870s.
We plan to invest in developing new buildings and bringing our historic and iconic buildings up to a standard which supports the needs of current and future students and researchers.
The postholder will function as the internal and external communications specialist and advisor for the implementation of the Estate Strategy, including public consultation and engagement in the philanthropic giving campaign.
Whilst the role will be based in the Communications Office, the postholder will work directly with colleagues from Estates and Buildings and their consultants – as well as the Development and Alumni Office to develop and implement a co-ordinated and integrated Communications and Engagement strategy.
They will be responsible for identifying key communication needs and subsequently advising, managing and implementing appropriate communication streams to internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation and delivery of the Communications Strategy.
