THIS post offers the opportunity to join one of the highest performing media teams in Scotland securing coverage on TV, radio, magazines, websites, social media and newspapers.
The successful candidate will have the chance to shine by identifying a rich variety of potential stories in documents, meetings and chance encounters in the corridor.
The Church is an important part of Scottish life offering scope for coverage of national and international importance.
As a communications professional you will help raise the profile of the Church by maximising positive publicity while managing all other media matters.
You may have a proven track record as a journalist or press officer or you may be newly qualified and energetic.
Either way, you will have well-developed personal and communication skills and a good understanding of current affairs and the media.
An organised and flexible approach to work is essential as are social media skills.
The Church offers Flexitime, an excellent pension and a base in lively George Street, Edinburgh.
Membership of the Church of Scotland is not a requirement.
