DC Thomson & Co Ltd is a private company and one of the leading publishing houses in the UK. Our headquarters are in Dundee, Scotland, with a London base in Fleet Street.
DC Thomson publishes newspapers, magazines, comics and books. The company also has interests in radio, printing, retailing and online services.
Our regional newspaper business encompasses the whole of the north and east of Scotland.
DC Thomson produces two of the top selling regional newspapers in the UK: The Courier and Advertiser and The Press and Journal.
Nationally, we also publish The Sunday Post, which gained a place in the Guinness Book of Records as the biggest-selling paper per head of population in the world in 1974, with a record sale of 1,774,000 copies per week.
DC Thomson publish both The Beano and The Dandy, two of the UK’s longest-running and most successful children’s publications, still being enjoyed after more than 70 years.
We also produce The People’s Friend, launched in 1869, and The Scots Magazine, first published in 1739. Both titles are performing well in both the UK and overseas.
DC Thomson owns global publisher, Parragon Books, the successful Puzzler magazine group, online publishing and technology business, brightsolid, and the Friends Reunited Group.
