SM Publicity was formed in October 2015 by Sharon McHendry, who has 12 years’ experience within news journalism and arts PR – including, most recently, more than three years as a senior account manager at Mobius Industries, London.

SM Publicity works with theatre, performance art, music and festival clients in Scotland and England and on theatre and dance at the Edinburgh Fringe.

While at Mobius, Sharon worked with companies including Barrowland Ballet, Northern Stage, Greyscale, ThickSkin, Coney, RIFT, Common Wealth and Eclipse Theatre Company – as well as handling the PR in 2015 for the Scottish Government’s music, theatre and dance showcase Made in Scotland.

Sharon previously managed the PR for multi-arts venue The Arches, Glasgow, promoting international theatre, experimental performance art and dance, live music events and festivals.

She also previously handled media relations for the Glasgow School of Art.
