THE chief football writer at The Herald is leaving to join the Scotland edition of The Times.
Michael Grant has been at The Herald since 2009 having previously written for sister title, the Sunday Herald, which he joined 16 years ago, from The Press and Journal.
In December, allmediascotland.com noted (here) that former Scotland on Sunday editor and Daily Mail sports editor, Les Snowdon, was the new Scotland editor of The Times, following the death of Angus Macleod.
Grant is expected to join The Times, as Scottish football correspondent, in the middle of next month.

A GLASWEGIAN photographer has been shortlisted in one of the world’s biggest photography awards.
It is understood that a record 173,444 photographs from 171 countries were entered into the Sony World Photography Awards.
And London-based freelancer, Dougie Wallace, is in the running for the professional portraiture category prize.
It was for a photo essay, ‘Glasgow; Second City of the Empire. On the run up to the Scottish Referendum’.
