SAYS the National Readership Survey, between April last year and March this year, an average 1,061,000 people at some point read The Scotsman per month, either in print or online.
The figure is ‘de-duplicated’; ie does not count twice people who read the title both in print and online.
The corresponding figure, meanwhile, for The Herald is 833,000.
Add the Sunday Herald to The Herald’s figure, and the readership numbers for the two leap to 891,000, while adding Scotland on Sunday to The Scotsman’s figure and the readership numbers rise for the two to 1,175,000.
Elsewhere, The Courier registers a figure of 515,000 while the Record’s corresponding figure is 2,258,000, the number rising to 2,608,000 when sister title, the Sunday Mail, is added.
