FOR the fourth time in five years, the website of the Scottish Government has won a global competition recognising website development.
Say the competition organisers: “Since 1997, the Web Marketing Association’s annual WebAward Competition has been setting the standard of excellence for website development. Independent expert judges from around the world review sites in 96 industries.”
And winner of the ‘Government Standard of Excellence’ award was the Scottish Government’s main news website www.scotland.gov.uk. It is the fourth time it has won the award.
The digital team at the Scottish Government is led by Willie Paul, formerly of The Scotsman and also an author.
Prior to joining the digital team as head 11 years ago, Willie was executive editor at Scotland on Sunday. He was head of content of The Scotsman’s website at the time of its launch.
