A GLASGOW-based digital marketing and design company has sold its division providing server space – for hosting websites and emails – to a company specialising in providing server hosting.
Says a media release issued on behalf of NSDesign, it has sold its division in an “undisclosed six-figure deal” to Broadband Cloud Solutions. But the sale also sees NSDesign gaining a ten per cent stake in BCS.
Continues the release: “NSDesign Ltd, founded in 1999, is a leading provider of internet solutions for home and business, offering a wide range of web design, hosting, and ecommerce products and services. The Glasgow firm recently announced its best year to date after turnover grew to £350,000 in 2011, representing an increase of 42 per cent compared with the previous year.
“Broadband Cloud Solutions was founded by Scottish entrepreneur Graham Duncan, who has almost 30 years’ experience of working with companies in the IT and telecom sectors.
“Broadband Cloud Solutions works in partnership with other UK based firms to provide one-stop managed hosting services. Its flagship product is its hosted desktop service, which packages applications from multiple vendors in the cloud, which can be accessed anywhere, at any time, from any device.
“In addition to the hosted client base, NSDesign will provide Broadband Cloud Solutions with access to an experienced team in the domain registration and web hosting arena.”
