A FIFE firm has reportedly won a six-figure contract to design apps for some of the best-known magazines in the UK.
Writes Peter Ranscombe, in today’s Scotsman, the apps are for magazines published by IPC, which includes InStyle, Look and Now in its portfolio.
The Fife firm – Swanify – is said to have won the contract “on the back of work to create apps for Marie Claire and Golf Monthly magazines”.
Says Ranscombe: “Swanify – which already lists tourist attraction Rosslyn Chapel and supermarket giant Tesco among its clients – creates apps using the HTML5 programming language and then translates them into coding for Apple, Android, Blackberry and Windows mobile phones, cutting development times.”
