The Herald and Times Group – publishers of The Herald, Sunday Herald and Evening Times – is reporting a near ten per cent increase in traffic to its websites between the final three months of last year and the first three of this.
Says a statement, the group – whose digital sites include s1jobs.com, heraldscotland.com and eveningtimes.co.uk – recorded an average 3.7 million visits between January and March this year, up from 3.4 million during the previous quarter – a rise of nine per cent.
That, adds the group, equates to an average 24 million page impressions per month, an increase of 20 per cent from their Q4 2010 figures.
Managing director, Tim Blott, is quoted, saying: “We’re are continuing to invest in our online offering, both in s1 and our news sites, and such investment and renewed focus will see us continue to grow our Scottish audience, and reinforce our position as Scotland’s leading digital media business.”
