Potential or current media professionals looking to improve their online media skills are being offered the opportunity to sign up for various, short evening courses in Edinburgh this Autumn.
The courses are being provided by the Edinburgh Skillset Screen and Media Academy, with the next one being an Introduction to Multi-platform Content Creation for Journalists, being led by Murray Cox.
The course – once a week, for four weeks – aims to improve participants' knowledge and understanding of online media and how to monetise content online.
Costing £300, or £240 for concessions, its begins on the 27th of this month. However, for some participants, including those currently employed or working freelance in the UK TV industry, there may be Skillset funding packages available, to defray costs. There may be also funding available through so-called Independent Learning Accounts.
Other Autumn courses include Feature Film Screenwriting – Online, Scheduling and Budgeting, Final Cut Pro, Pro Tools and a Tapeless Workflows courses.
