The group digital editor at the Herald & Times Group is joining STV as its executive editor overseeing its network of community websites, known as STV Local.
David Milne is joining STV Local in October. Among his recent achievements at the Herald & Times is the launch of heraldscotland.com
STV Local is launching soon as a pilot before being rolled out as a series of hyper-local sites covering the whole of Scotland.
Prior to his current role, Milne he was deputy editor of the Sunday Herald, having previously been assistant and news editor at the same title.
Says STV: “With his digital and journalistic background, David will be responsible for rolling out the STV Local network of sites across Scotland and will also help deliver on the broader editorial objectives of the business. Working closely with the editorial and product teams he will help develop a string of relationships with partner organisations, communities and local contributors right across the country.”
