AND, firstly, it’s a return to the Daily Record for Iain Pope, this time in the role of head of digital news at the paper and its sister title, the Sunday Mail.
He joins from STV, where he was digital intake editor.
Between 2003 and 2011, he was an assistant news editor at the Record and, latterly, online editor.

MEANWHILE, Shaun Milne, one of Scotland’s most experienced media operators, is looking for a new role after leaving his position as PR and digital media director at Lucid PR.
An award-winning journalist, news editor and digital editor with publishers including the Daily Mirror, Daily Record, Sunday People and STV, he is understood to want to return to his roots and focus on “people, issue and news-based” projects.
Milne confirmed he is currently working as a freelance while seeking shifts and a permanent position.
