AN Edinburgh communications agency is hoping to be able to provide its clients with easy access to global business and marketing intelligence and insights into international markets, following the joining a global network of similar-type organisations.
Family sees its joining of Tribe Global will also provide it with new business, working with its fellow partners on international commissions.
Tribe Global comprises 13 agencies, including in France, the USA, Germany and India.
One of the network’s aims is to be able to fund research, partly from membership fees and also from a portion of profits from any successful joint bids for new work.
In a statement, Nicky Unsworth – managing director of BJL, of one of the four UK-based partners involved in Tribal – is quoted, as saying: “The founding agencies have worked together for several years on a number of international projects. In the last couple of years we’ve increasingly talked about formalising our relationship, and recent discussions between ourselves and clients have led us to believe that this is the right time to launch a global network.”
Collectively, the network has almost 650 members of staff and saw a joint gross profit of more than $50million last year.
Ian Wright, Family partner, told allmediascotland.com: “If I have a piece of international business on behalf of a client, I will be able to pick up the telephone to people I am absolutely know, trust and respect in different markets around the world, able to help me with information – about the media, creatives, etc – that will make it much more possible to run a truly international campaign.
“Since the launch, we have already been approached by four agencies, in Europe and North America.”
