A new advertising campaign has been launched, on radio, for one of Scotland's best-known confections, the Lees macaroon bar.
Appearing on Real Radio Scotland, the eight-week campaign involves a reworked version of the Macarena – the Spanish dance song by Los del Río.
In a statement issued by the company, Clive Miquel, chief executive of Lees Foods, is quoted, as saying: “It’s great to hear Lees back on radio again. Lees is a fun, family brand and we wanted to create a lively and catchy ad. campaign that would grab peoples attention. The Macarena was a world-wide hit and hopefully its popularity helps increase awareness for the Lees brand and of course our Macaroon Bar.”
