THE sponsors of Scottish football’s League Cup have appointed an Edinburgh-based communications agency to manage all its sponsorship activity.
Co-operative Insurance (CIS), sponsor of the CIS Insurance Cup, has taken on 1576 to work on the sponsorship aspects to the cup, which it has been supporting for the last seven years and will be continuing to do so at least until three years’ time.
Says David Newman, director of marketing for CIS: “The campaign 1576 has proposed will help develop CIS’ association with Scottish football by focusing on the brand’s support for communities through football and our unique ethical positioning in the market. We were impressed by their strategic understanding and creative thought, and look forward to an exciting and successful season.”
