AND congratulations too to Jane Hamilton, who is returning from seven years as a freelance to work for newspaper publishers, Media Scotland (part of Trinity Mirror).
She is joining the Daily Record, today, as a reporter, based in Edinburgh. She is a former crime correspondent for the Record’s sister title, the Sunday Mail.
During her career, she has also been a crime corr. at the Edinburgh Evening News and also at The Scottish Sun.
Her spell as a freelance PR included running several high-profile media campaigns for charities, businesses and celebrities across Scotland.

MEANWHILE, as reported here, on allmediascotland.com, former Scotsman business correspondent, Peter Ranscombe, is going freelance, including corporate copywriting.
He is leaving the magazine, Scottish Field, where he has been since the beginning of the year, having previously been at The Scotsman for nine years.

THE Drumlanrig column in Scotland on Sunday newspaper was yesterday reporting that Paul Sinclair – ‘spin doctor to Scottish Labour leader, Johann Lamont’ – is leaving ‘for pastures new’.
