THE Edinburgh International Television Festival has been and gone for another year.
It took place between Thursday and Saturday last week, with Channel 4 chief executive, David Abraham, delivering the keynote speech, the MacTaggart Lecture, and Scots comedian, Frankie Boyle, bringing proceedings to an end with a characteristically forthright take on the ‘TV nation’.
And, of course, it’s a particularly big deal for Broadcast magazine, which comes out weekly, is for the UK television and radio industry, and produces a regular podcast (the most recent being its 28th) which can be found on iTunes, here.
This latest episode – recorded at the festival – is a real fascinating listen, including what some of the industry’s big hitters (including STV’s director of content, Alan Clements) thought of Abraham’s MacTaggart.
