AN award-winning radio broadcaster has joined the station, YOUR Radio – which serves the Firth of Clyde, including Dumbarton and Helensburgh – to present a three-hour, weekday breakfast programme from the station’s new studio in Clydebank.
Darren Adam’s CV includes stints with with Forth 2, Clyde 2, West Sound, Tay and Northsound as well as presenting the breakfast show on Forth 1 for almost ten years.
In a media release announcing the appointment, Tracey McNellan, MD at YOUR Radio, is quoted, as saying: “We are thrilled that Darren has joined the YOUR Radio team. He is an award-winning broadcaster with huge amounts of experience and already we’ve had great feedback from listeners.”
The release continues: Darren has picked up a number of awards throughout his 20-year broadcasting career including a New York Radio Programming Festival gold world medal for coverage of 2007 Scottish election as well as Local Personality of the Year Award on a number of occasions.
“Darren joins existing presenters including Dean Park, Yazz, Heather Suttie and Fraser Thomson, as well as sports pundits, Peter Martin and Alan Rough.”
