THE managing director of Bauer Media Scotland – which operates several commercial radio stations in Scotland – has been promoted.
Graham Bryce has been appointed to the new position of group managing director, Place, Northern England and Scotland.
Says Bauer: “In this new role, Graham will have full responsibility for delivering Bauer Media’s ambitious Place Portfolio growth strategy, including Key 103, Metro and Clyde 1. Regional managing directors for the North West, North East and Yorkshire and the Place group content director (North of England and Scotland) will report to Graham.
Says Bauer of Bryce: “During his tenure he has led his team to revitalise 13 market-leading stations in Scotland, driving profitability, audience share and brand awareness and launching ground-breaking initiatives including Bauer’s Scottish Media Academy.
“Prior to joining Bauer Radio in 2009, Graham was senior vice-president and chief operating officer of two privately-owned European radio groups, based out of Amsterdam and Dublin. He also previously held the position of managing director for Xfm, Choice FM and Capital Gold.
“Graham will also oversee Magic Network North and Greatest Hits Network Scotland. He will report into Dee Ford, group managing director, Bauer Radio.”
‘Place’ refers to Bauer’s city-based stations.
