SCOTS tennis star, Andy Murray’s historic win at Wimbledon yesterday attracted the highest TV ratings in Scotland so far this year, according to the BBC, which broadcast his victory over Novak Djokovic.
According to unofficial overnight viewing figures, at its peak the BBC Scotland audience was 1.9 million – a 90 per cent share of those watching TV at the time. The average audience in Scotland throughout the match was 1.4 million, a share of 85 per cent.
The UK-wide network average audience was 12.1 million – a 73 per cent share and it peaked at 17.3 million, a 78 per cent share.
