THE average number of people watching STV’s early evening news bulletin is at a ten-year high, according to a series of statistics shared by the broadcaster’s deputy director for channels, at a conference about the future of the media.
Yesterday at the conference, held in Edinburgh and hosted by The Scotsman newspaper, Elizabeth Partyka, the average figure last year was 436,000.
Partyka was sharing figures sourced by the TV viewing auditing body, BARB.
The average during 2002 was 354,000.
