STV presenter, John MacKay, has been chosen to carry the Olympic torch.
He is one of hundreds who have been awarded the chance to carry the flame – as part of a relay – across Scotland in June, ahead of the Olympic Games taking place in London.
Says the Scottish Daily Express, MacKay will join the relay at Clydebank. He is quoted as saying: “Being asked to be a torchbearer is one of those things you just cannot say no to. It is a great honour.”
