THE comedian, Clive Anderson, is to present a new show on BBC Radio Scotland.
The Guessing Game is a six-part series, with panellists including Rory Bremner, Phil Jupitus, Christopher Brookmyre, Zoe Lyons, Jo Caulfield, Susan Calman and Des Clarke.
The programme’s premise is simple enough, with Anderson, says the BBC, firing a host of “bizarre questions” to three panellists, who have to guess the answer.
Jeff Zycinski, head of BBC Radio Scotland, is quoted in a BBC statement, as saying: “It is great news to welcome a talent such as Clive Anderson to present The Guessing Game along with this fantastic range of top star comic names as panellists. I have always been a huge admirer of Clive’s easy yet formidable wit and he is the latest in a range of high profile names – from Billy Connolly to Brian Cox, Kirsty Wark to Peter Mullan, Gary Lewis to Greg Hemphill – that we have recently welcomed to the station through our drama, comedy, and arts output.”
The six shows will be recorded at BBC’s Scotland Pacific Quay HQ on the 21st and 22nd of this month, as part of the Glasgow Comedy Festival.
Tickets are free and available from here.
The Guessing Game will transmit from the fourth of next month, at 2pm. The producer is Margaret Anne Docherty.
