THE call has gone out for entries to a media awards competition celebrating the best of commercial radio.
A deadline of March 9 has been set for entries to the Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards, now in their 17th year.
The categories welcome a new entry – Radio Station Event of the Year – but dispense with the ‘Digital Station of the Year’ category, reflecting, say the organisers, “the changing face of the industry”.
The categories are:

Newcomer(s) of the Year (sponsored by Skillset)
Journalist or News Team of the Year (Ali Booker Memorial Award)
Station Awards
Station of the Year (<300,000 TSA)
Station of the Year (300,000 to one million TSA)
Station of the Year (one million + TSA)
