IT is being speculated that Cat Cubie’s days as a weather presenter on BBC Scotland could be numbered.
Writes Gavin Docherty, in today’s Scottish Daily Express, the presenter was one of three appointments made last year to cover maternity leave being taken, simultaneously, by Gail McGrane, Judith Ralston and Gillian Smart.
Docherty quotes a BBC spokesperson saying: “We do not comment on individual contracts”, while claiming that Cubie’s contract is up at the end of next month.
The story, on page three, is headed: ‘Cat’s all, folks …bleak outlook for stand-ins as weather mums return’.
