A masterclass on the making of the Channel 4 quiz show, The Million Pound Drop, is taking place in Glasgow next week.
The masterclass is being hosted by the creator and executive producer of the show, David Flynn, at the invitation of the Scottish branch of the Royal Television Society. The Million Pound Drop involves contestants starting out with one million pounds, as much of which they try to keep for themselves by answering questions correctly.
Says the RTS of the show: “Pioneering elements of gaming technology, audience interactivity and live studio production have broken rules and taken risks. Share [Flynn's] insight into how the The Million Pound Drop Live has become an example of digital creativity at its best, has captured the imagination of UK audiences and has sold as a format to more than 20 territories around the world.”
The event is taking place on Wednesday evening, at BBC Scotland's Pacific Quay HQ, 18.30 for 19.00. Entry is free and tickets are available by emailing henrye@skillset.org
