The programme director of an investigative journalism course in Scotland has been commissioned by BBC Radio Scotland to present a four-part series.
Eamonn O'Neill is Programme Director of Strathclyde University's MSc in Investigative Journalism.
The stories 'O'Neill Investigates' will cover include end-of-life care for the elderly and modern-day terrorism activity in Scotland.
Said O'Neill, an award-winning journalist: “I am really pleased that BBC Radio Scotland have commissioned this series. I've produced and presented one-offs for them in the recent past which have gone well in terms of listening figures and press attention, so I am delighted to take that model and very personal approach to the next level of a stand-alone, branded-series. I'm hoping to deliver revelatory stories that genuinely resonate with the BBC Radio Scotland audience and also engage with them on the back of multimedia strategies we have in place too.”
The series will be broadcast later this year.
