A former chief executive of STV Group plc is reported to have quit as chair of Edinburgh Zoo.
Reports today's Herald newspaper, Donald Emslie had initially resisted calls to resign following a vote of no confidence in him. But a statement issued last night confirmed his stepping down.
The paper says: “Aberdeen-born Mr Emslie was a main board director of Scottish Media Group [the predecessor name of STV Group plc] for seven years, and director of broadcasting at STV before becoming chief executive of SMG. He sits on the board of Scottish Water as well as Scottish Rugby, and chairs the Royal Lyceum.”
